Cobalt -The Best Doggies-

So hello there to another archetype that was made to fill space in a booster...I mean to make relevant. In today's episode, we are questing to the gold mine of Dungeon World to look over an archetype about every one's number one favorite and most precious thing (besides anime waifu's)

DOGS!

Since this is such a small archetype, and even by standards most of their monsters are pure vanilla, this blog is gonna be smaller then most other blogs I have, but at least that means its something to enjoy in one sitting. so Cobalts...

Cobalts (or Kobolds) are based on the mythological Kobold creature found in mythology. They are gremlin like creatures that can transform into various things like a sprite, a candle, and dwarves. They are thought of to be domestic spirits who take care of the homes or in some cases, are spirits of underground mines or lakes of water. According to Wikipedia (Because it is a source, shut up), they help take care of the home in times of need and are very needy in terms of love and affection, turning on their homes to do tricks and pranks when not attended too, but the modern interpretation of Kobolds seems to come from Dungeons EH OH and Dragons where they are dog like anthropomorphic creatures who builds traps and other weaponry.
Does this mean that Bushiroad will give us Trap Support on the year of the Kobold? No. I should stop making conspiracy theories, Yes, but back on Buddyfight then.

Kobolds started all the way in the Dungeon Trial deck with just vanilla cards, and they stayed like this only showing up in Drums Adventure as more vanilla's until the X Era where they got a boss monster and a brand new playstyle around calling from the soul. They do not have much to go on so we can go through them really quick, starting in order with.

Mameshiba, Cobalt is the first size 0 of Dungeon World, with a 1/2/2 statline. He was used because he was the only size 0 at the time in Dungeon World with 2 crit for a year until Bronze Golem, Jaish was released in H-EB01, making Jaish a very fun trivia card but that's for another issue. 2 Crit on a size 0 was huge and your only other option was a 3/1/3. So you always went this guy because he was a good doggo, but now in the Cobalt deck, he is always playable and can be played on both standard rush and when the boss card comes out without affected size limit to deal damage since he can't hit anything a defense stat to save his life. Run 4 in the Cobalt build.

Dachs, Cobalt is the Thousand Rapier clone for Dungeon World....Oh yeah you guys are new here. So basically a Thousand Rapier clone means that the card is a size 1 vanilla with exactly 5000 power, 2 critical, and 1000 defense. Most worlds back in the day had their own clone like this, but since now every card needs to help make 12 damage, their not used anymore.

.........We live in a time where the kids don't know who Thousand Rapier is.....Kids these days.

So anyway, He is the Dungeon Thousand Rapier clone, Adventurers didn't get their clone until H-BT03, but got 2 better versions in Dungeon Zanya and new Dungeon Tasuku. He is a good easy call in the early game for the Cobalt deck, but this is the card you can use the least of since the boss card does not care about size when calling from the soul, so you would rather call the size 2 when regarding who to call from soul. Run a few though to make calling the boss card easier, but not like a big 4-of.

Doberman, Cobalt is the second main damage dealer of the deck when called from the bosses soul. A Size 2 with 5/3/3 that is free to call. A Basic vanilla nowadays, but since all the Cobalts are basically vanilla's, this guy is the best vanilla to call out. Using maybe Dominion Rod as your main item to boost your Cobalt to 6K is still good cause 6000 does hit okay numbers, and the 3 crit is still okay as a threat to bait out shields. Use 4 of these guys for being an okay vanilla.

So the final Cobalt of the original lineup is Tosa Hound, Cobalt. Size 3 with 7000/3/6000 with a two gauge [Call Cost] and you need a "Cobalt" card in your drop zone to put into this card's soul. POTENTIAL FUTURE COBALT SUPPORT MAYBE?! Hopefully. As he was a season 1 boss monster, he only has [Penetrate] and a 1 card [Soulguard]. Simple boss monster, but not an incredible boss monster due to his attribute of just being "Dungeon Enemy". The Dungeon Enemies in BT03 were not a real deck but just a small amount of grunt monsters for the Demon Lords or being used in the Adventurer/Dungeon Enemy Hybrid deck. Even if you wanted to use this guy as a Demon Lord style deck and use your item as the Demon Lord attribute, we have the all mighty Deukruzar to be the main boss Grade 3 for a while until the Hundred Series started. So there was not a place for Tosa Hound and the Cobalt "Deck" died into obscurity....

UNTIL THE NEW BUDDYFIGHT CARD DEVELOPER HAD TO MAKE DUNGEON WORLD MONSTERS FOR THE X ULTIMATE BOOSTER?! HE WAS REPORTED TO HAVE GOTTEN PLASTERED AND ALMOST FELL INTO THE RIVER STYX UNTIL A COBALT SAVED HIS LIFE, PROMISING HIM A CARD IN HIS LIKENESS IN RETURN FOR THE COBALTS KINDNESS!!!

or so I heard...Or he just needed filler cards to make, I don't know.

Hellhound Lord, Bolzoye Cobalt Lord is a Dungeon Enemy/Demon Lord size 3 with an 8/2/5 statline. His [Call Cost] is 3 gauge and putting three Cards with Cobalt in their card names from the drop zone into the cards soul. He has Double Attack and Soulguard as well along with the new mechanic of the deck. The cards you put into the soul can be called from Bolzoyes soul by paying the chosen monsters [Call Cost] and it becomes a Size 0 while the chosen monster is on the field. Your main target is actually Doberman due to its free nature and decent strength as a 5K 3 Crit monster. You could use Tosa Hound, but the issue is the gauge usage. While the 2 gauge isn't as big, it can still be pretty clunky to have 5 gauge at a single time, so Tosa is seen to be a 2 of option, while you would always want to run Doberman or Dachs in your soul. Getting them to drop can be an issue since a decent amount of Demon Lord support does not work for Bolzoye, like Demon Lord's Dungeon, since all that can call is Mameshiba's since they only become Size 0 through Bolzoye's call ability, not from just Bolzoye being there, though there's a lot of ways the Cobalts can go if they decide to make any new Cobalts in the future, which is unlikely as Traps getting new support, but Bolzoye is a proper boss monster for the deck and his ability does compliment the vanilla nature of the Cobalts well and they have cards now to mitigate the soul loss now for Bolzoye with Demon Lord's Armor.

So we got an idea on how the archetype will now work. Turbo the drop zone to get Bolzoye onto the field in order to call cards from soul as beaters to deal damage will Bolzoye wall clears. The issue comes in at the following question.

Why does this deck have no recursion??
There isn't any monsters that can refill the soul once Bolzoye uses it. Demon Lord's Armor helps with keeping soul and wall clearing but once you use a monster, it is gone so in a sense the ability becomes worse the more you use the actual ability. Since while getting a free beatstick is nice, taking away your soul is not worth it, ask Nanase why her new evolution doesn't involve using soul as cost and you can see why. Soul ramp will not fully help since he basically becomes a beatstick with no sustainability so the deck just needs more cheap, affordable Cobalts to call and gain plussing from being called from the soul, like an Oni Assassin Cobalt. OH LOOK ONE I JUST FOUND!

Honestly the Oni Assassin approach would help Cobalt a lot, as while they call souls face-up, using ways to replenish the soul with more monsters to call, and if anything happens to have spells inside, they can be used as resource for costs like Hiding Oni to gain resources and create an engine through Bolzoye`s soul. So if we want to have Bolzoye out as much as possible, we need some basic card I made last year that was not powercreeped but would help in this exact situation. Ace era is great.

Howling Cobalt is just a basic copied, Sturdy Dragon Strike, but again, I made this last year before Ace, so if I had the chance, I would put some form of extra buff or plus, or just anything to make it better, but this is just the basic thing you need. Gauge ramp and a deck filter in one card can already do a good bit for the deck just to get Bolzoye online first turn which is the first step anyway.

I Blame Ace for taking this long
It might be a long time till a new archetype hit's the new Ace series of cards. The first year is just setting the foundation like the original season, but I'm guessing the new Yuga deck in April is gonna be some new Deity Dragon Tribe archetype around "Dragon Knights" according to information. So if Noboru doesn't come back, I will riot.

But wow...A lot has changed since I last posted, the anime has gotten better and better, only to have to go into a hiatus regarding the studio.

To be serious for one second, for the next few months, please support your LGS harder then ever, support your Buddyfight Youtubers as much as they can, and show the small team at the Buddyfight English division some love. The hiatus of the anime is probably something that Bushiroad did not expect, looking up information on the studio buyout, it happened the middle of January, so while the team can hopefully finish the first season by then, that is all we can expect from them to do when they are now in the middle of a transition to Sunrise. Hopefully the Gundam animes get better from buying another studio to animate more teenage girls, but for us Buddyfight fans, while people may say that the hiatus of the anime is not a big deal, it really is in the grand scheme of the international game. Ignore Japan for one second because they have access to the manga and have an easier way of getting news and advertising from Bushiroad, we need to address the fact that Bushiroad is kind of...terrible regarding the English side of Buddyfight. They sometimes make videos about cards months late, sometimes they just give out product to Youtubers to make boxes on. From what I've seen and heard, the English team is pretty small so the lack of anime is probably gonna kill them in terms of the new work load they have to do. We have to do our share to keep Buddyfight alive by spreading the game. The anime was the biggest way to get casual and on the fence fans from staying in the card game. When the show is good, the game gets better, and when the show does bad, the game is probably doing something else terrible. My point is, do not give up on Buddyfight now, you have the power to keep the game alive by just staying a fan. We are going to get the anime back, but it will be a few months away. The wait may be painful, but we will not squander or fall. I truly know this community can be a cool place for a simple, but ungodly complex card game. We will make our memes, and we will spam our FTK`s, and we will make our fanart, and we will keep on Buddyfighting till the anime comes home! And we shall welcome that anime back with open arms...and then if they become Buddyfight X again we will throw them out to the curb, my point is, we'll live. We just need to bring in the casuals ourselves, because god knows Bushiroad has done SO MUCH to advertise this game to the English market.

Oh yeah Cobalts. Buddyfight won't get archetypes for a long ass time and so I have to find a way to keep making content because Hero World is the most boring gold mine ever made, thank you guys for waiting 4 months. Still working on the larger blog, and honestly, put what you want as an archetype reviewed down below. If it isn't a long mess, I could try a crack at it.

Thank you and have a pretty nice day!!!

Not a good one though...cause you could be a MAX Dragon player...and we here in SBT03 meta don't fancy yer kind.

Droids - Don't do Droids, M'kay.

Hello everyone, and welcome back to basically the mediocre corner where I show you the vast and unparalleled domains of Hero Worlds bajillion decks. There are twelve archetypes according to Buddyfight Wikia, and that is way more then needed, and those are just speaking of archetypes, theirs also all the attributes Hero World has gotten over the years, if you thought of it, it's probably in Hero World somewhere. So because I am burned out from all the decks I had to review, let's look at something simple, something small, some random Hero World archetype Bushi put into a set and was immediately forgotten about! Sterdroids!

The Dangers of Sterdroid abuse
Droids were an archetype of cards from D-BT04: Shine!! Super we wasted a lot of that set. From the Black Dragon support I did not ask for to the Trap deck that Bushi keeps forgetting to give their key monster a powercreep, Droids took a small slot in the massive Hero jumble of that set, along with all the Zetta support, and all the other Hero World decks under the sun. Focusing on being unaffected by card effects and focusing on vanilla beatdown with a good burn engine, Droids were seen as a nice budget deck to play while all the big boys played Zetta until the loop was cancelled and then was dropped faster then Bushiroads quality control department. In the almost two years since their release, Droids have gotten a total of 5 cards to their name and this means we can talk about the entire archetype in full detail, explain their core mechanic and game play, and see why Bushiroad possibly forgot about them and focused on the twelve other Brave Machine decks Hero World has to deal with.

Four Droids are all it takes to be a droid abuser
Gigadroid Biggest is the main guy of the bunch, a 6/2/6 Brave Machine with a 2 gauge [Call Cost] and [Ride] cost. When you [Ride] into him, he puts one of your opponents gauge into the drop zone, and the true special perk of all Droids is that they cannot be destroyed by card effects. So when you ride into this guy, you got a pretty decent vanilla body that cant be destroyed that easily. Heck even newer Transforms and Rides have issue with card destruction like Cosmoman and Battle Buildings since they do not have destruction immunity. It's a good thing to have on, and for the time the 6/2/6 was seen a a nice vanilla statline, but the times have caught up and he needs some crutches to keep him going. Throwing in the Deity Trio into this guy`s soul helps a lot and is required to give this guy a wallop. He is still the main ride of the Droid deck...since he is the only one, and doing this turn 1 does help a bit since unless their deck is one of the newer decks that can generate gauge like its nothing, taking a gauge before they even started is something that was pretty powerful at the time. Run at 4, but remember to stack the deck with Saibird, Tigerthrust, Slashark can help a lot. Extends the life support on this sorry hunk of a droid.

Gigadroid Gigantes is another Size 3, this time with a 7/3/6 in stats with a two gauge [Call Cost]. His main ability is that on your turn, you can pay a gauge and check top 5. If theirs three or more Brave Machine MONSTERS revealed, you deal 2 damage, however if five were revealed, you deal 5 damage. This guy is your main damage engine, check your top cards every turn and pray for a burn damage because Hero World can generate so much gauge that it does not really matter. You always have two or more Brave Machine monsters somewhere in your deck, and so getting three should be easy on most turns to trigger the two burn damage. With never support, this guy just has better consistency on getting the two burn then the five burn, but his three crit swing is good enough pressure also. All in all a decent beater of a machine. He also has the cannot be destroyed by effects, but it doesn't matter to say each time since all of them have this immunity. It helps when it swings for damage so they have to put up a shield or get hit hard. Run 4 for optimal plays and burn tactics.

Megadroid Huge is their first size 0 of the deck, with a 2/1/1 base line. He cannot be destroyed by card effects, but when he enters the field, you can look at the top two cards of your deck and just put what you don't want on bottom, and what you do want on top. You use him to set up Gigantes plays, since it basically sets up two of the three cards needed for the burn. Plus since it is free to call, it does not tap into your resources like the other two, allowing for a nice beater once you use Gigantes and Biggest to get through there defenses. All in all, decent card and since you want to run droids, run 4.

Megadroid Larger is the newest size 0 with the same stats as huge, but with a slightly better ability! When he is called, you can put two "Droid" monsters from your drop zone on top of your deck. You would obviously be saying "Isn't this basically Huge?", and yes you would say that, however, the main difference is in two ways. He GUARANTEES the top cards being Brave Machine monsters, but at the cost of needing a drop zone filled with Droids to work. Even first turn that would be hard unless your two gauge to call Gigantes or ride into Biggest are both Droid monsters. So in a sense while Huge can be used in the early game, this gives you more advantage but you need to wait a turn to apply his effect. Still works simply for Gigantes plays, or if you need to get a card lost from drop zone and can draw it back with a draw spell. So again, run this at 4, to increase Brave Machines in deck, increase Gigantes`s burn potential, and because what else are you going to use?

Why is effect destruction not enough?

So you are wondering why a Hero World deck focused on a mix of burn and aggro with all the support Hero World has, isn't topping everything you saw back in the day? Well it is very simple my friend. Unexpected accidents. See, the DDD Metagame wasn't as well received as it should be, with many decks topping due to their higher power with supposedly no downside or a variant born from the community outshining intended builds. Executioners were so powerful since they had such good synergy and all you had to do was run 70 cards. Neodragon Zwei was big since it had big Neodragons and the monster spells to make the engine work. Plus Style of Justice was just around the corner and OH BOY! That was definitely a form of oppression if I ever saw it. So it did not help Droids case to become something fully playable. Since they relied entirely on the luck of the top deck, they still had a bit of error on their side to not get the burn damage off and without a good consistent engine, the deck does not have the horsepower to apply the burn or the damage to make up for it when Plan A fails. OH and remember the Zetta loop accident.....yeah DDD had a weird Metagame. So what do you think should be needed for the deck to succeed. Well honestly something to make it stand out from the rest, a good beater with an effect that doesn't rely totally on luck and helps overall game image. It also would just be a good Ride or Size 0 because you WANT to proc Gigantes (whether you like it or not) to just kill them faster before they can set them their ridiculous 20 crit field...or Lost World. SO from Kota1908 (Cause no one from the TCGBuzz Discord sent in any Droids)

So let us go over this guy. An evolution of biggest with a nicer, more up to date base line with an actual ability, unlike most of the Droids which cannot do jack. You get a +2 for 1 gauge and a top deck, top deck guarantees a 1 on top for Gigantes, combined with something like Huge or Larger to filter more to get a more consistent two burn damage off before going into the vanilla attacks makes him a nice option to have, plus giving him Double Attack, Penetrate, a +1/+1 in stats from the other Gigadroids put into soul really puts in the work to make a defense for the guy.

I got a lot planned

So as we wrap-up this little thing, let me just say that Bushiroad really needs to just boost everything in Hero World for the love of Gao. They have made Hero World so massive, that it has basically a deck for everyone in terms of aesthetic or playstyle, that it would be fun to see everyone play the world. Theirs budget friendly decks, competitive decks, decks based on childhood properties, decks based on kancolle. Hero World can be a very friendly world for players to join into without the stigma placed on Dragon World since it has so many decks to choose from. Maybe Buddychronicle may fix that issue with good Hero World cards, but more then likely the Hero World cards there will be for the bigger boys like Gao.Hero, Darkheroes, Zetta, etc. We'll have to see.

I have two more episodes already in progress, one is just started which is the shorter one, and another one which has taken months to write due to how much I need to talk about in it, so expect that one in a month or two depending on how my schedule comes up. I might want to do one more smaller archetype to fill the void as the two I am working on now are bigger projects that require more then two weeks at a time for them. So even I have no idea what I am doing next, so it may surprise you a bit. I thank everyone for reading and to leave a comment is always appreciated! Circulate the links if you enjoy and as always

                                                           Pet your Ranma`s.

SEND HIM ALL THE LOVE!!!

S Character Pack 1: SHIN-It's the X Character Pack, but in a good way.

So the Character Pack reveals are finally coming in and we finally have good foundation of all THREE decks in the booster that we can do a small little explanation and dissection of all the new cards. I did say three because a third attribute entered the fray, they have a unique mechanic and they seem to be used by Ranma, so that will be cool! Wanted to write this since I've been having fun play testing around with all the decks and I have come to several conclusions on DBD and DDT, and just a small mention on the new DiD deck and how they contribute to the game. So with everything settled, put on your Dragon hazmat suit.

      Let us begin.

 Deity Dragon Tribe

Okay so speaking of the new poster boy of Buddyfight, not only is he getting this batch of support, but also a brand new Katana deck as well as three other Gargantua decks later in the fall. It may not be DDT but my god this dragon is insane. He has gotten four brand new forms in this set alone. Acute Mode shown here working with the new Garrapier and link attack focused. Legion Mode focuses on field swarming and bringing out a new fresh field once your item attacks to either gain resources through the Gar-animal trio, or a new monster to take some monsters down like Glom Gardra while Garga attacks. Charing is literally just a massive battery, gauging you for three, gaining you one life and a draw and finally Daybreak Garga is basically Rescue Drum, so always nice to have. The support lineup gives them monster destruction, to size 1 counter recovery, to G-EVO shenanigans and even more protection with their new Blue Dragon Shield and a counter 5 life which might not seem much but is always a good tech in if the un-revivable impacts start to creep back into the game. All in all, plenty of amazing cards are coming for DDT and I expect them to get a possible resurgence back into the Meta-game even if a little they got a ton more resource gaining and the pressure and G-EVO potential to pull out more damage then before. So yeah DDT is AOK!!....God using these short-term names makes me cringe...

Dragon Blood Division (The Revisit)

The True MVP of the deck
Dragon Blood Division is a closed center deck. You got monsters who can go into Bloody Eye's soul, stacking him for counterattacks, as well as them the cards in soul giving him extra effects like crit up and card destruction. They also now have opponent discard tools, resource gain tools, and an ability to stand for another attack which when you can stack 3 Perpetuity in Eye's soul, can hit for a lot. All they need now is a faster way to get Bloody Eyes, which will happen, and the deck can just speed into advantage. Their toolkit of spells are nice also. Elegante for all your destruction needs, Graziozo for your always needed kosher, Taboos for resource and Infinite Phantom for your draw power going into your turn to keep your weaklings alive and to fetch more guys to shove into Bloody Eye's soul. We have the livestream tomorrow (6:30 AM EST for those interested) to see the rest of the Division and their support, but for now they do have options to tackle decks that do have effect destruction nullification. It's a small set of options but its there. I have been having a good amount of fun with the deck due to its uniqueness from other Dragon World decks and I am happy to have more diversity in Dragon rather then the same mundane we are used to. If you love Dragon World but never liked playing the hero role, how about a switch to the dark side?

Dimensional Dragon
Okay bob, you have one job in this blog. To put a picture of a buddyfight card in the picture section...ONE JOB! THIS IS JUST A PICTURE OF AN ENGINE! HOW DO YOU MESS THAT UP?!

Wha wha wha wha whaaaaa

What do you mean this is a Buddyfight card? That's a picture of an engine. Here let me show you a picture of an actual engine.

See bob, this is a buddyfight card, not an engine...What do you mean they look the same?

                                                              Wha wha wha wha whaaaaa

For the love of Gao, these are not the same thing! Let me show you if you want to act like a smarty pants!

<============================>

See the differences?! Now if you are going to tell me straight to my face that Dragon World Dimensional Dragons are basically just a massive engine to turbo into Lost World...THEN I AM DONE WITH YOU BOB!!!

Wha wha whaaaaa

THAT IS IT!!! THIS BLOG IS OVER!!! NEXT EPISODE IS DROIDS! GOODNIGHT!

THE NEW ATTRIBUTES OF ACE!!!!! Part 3: Super Hero Taisen Ω Plus Ultra Hyper Mega & Knuckles

Finally we are here, welcome to the final part of the mini-series, which has been a success for the most part according to people. The last two episodes have gotten a ton more views then any of the other blogs and for that I thank you all so much! It makes me happy to know that it has helped in some way to get people into the Ace Series. We have three decks FINALLY fully revealed thanks to reveals, days from its release...yeah that is late. So strap on your spandex because

It's Hero Time!!!

Galaxy Defense Team/Galaxy Exalt

<<Galaxy Defense Team>> is the first new attribute for the Hero Booster, focusing on the [Transform] side of Hero World. For the people who do now know, Hero World does not use items (Except The next attribute...thanks Bushi) and instead their monsters have a Keyword, [Transform] or [Ride] which converts the card into an item. For simple rulings, as soon as you Transform or Ride, it Galaxy Exalt, Cosmoman, a massive monster who battles massive kaiju (That means Monsters) to protect the Earth. When you transform into him, you gain 3 cards into its soul and at the end of each turn, you lose one. The card is such a massive reference to the Ultraman series that it is so interesting how they even got the mechanic of Ultraman`s Color Timer represented and it is such a cool thing. Cosmoman gains a critical and 1000 defense for each card in the soul, starting then with a first turn 5 critical swing, which shows you what this deck is all about. This deck just screams aggression from Cosmoman`s damage potential, to the sidekick`s Cosmoman has like Horizon Fire and Cosmo Falcon No.1, piloted by the humans that strive to protect the earth along with Cosmoman. Their designs though, OH THIS IS JUST SO COOL! The Buddyfight developers are obviously Showa era fans of tokusatsu, as the deck is just oozing Showa Era Ultraman. From the designs of the Cosmo Machines to even the jumpsuit of Mamoru being a nod to the SSSP (The Science Special Search Party) from the original Ultraman series. Someone give the artist at Bushiroad a pat on the back, because that person is a good boi. The deck is just a powerhouse, since it can do so much damage in a single turn, that it can get away with using unconventional spells to get the attacks through, plus their impact is a Slightly weaker Tempest Buster from X season...and we do not like most things from the X season so it's safe to say it will end games. For all the decks power and aggro potential, if your heart screams for Justice like an Ultra Brother, then hurry and pick up Cosmoman. All decks shown in this blog are available in S Ultimate Booster 1: Superhero Wars Ω -Advent of Cosmoman!- available on September 7th!
becomes classified as an item on your field. You gain the power, defense, and abilities of the monster, but now as your item, which is what Hero World is all about. This deck gives you the power of

Mobile Aerial Team

The second attribute revealed is the brand new <<Sky Machine Corp>>. They are...interesting to say the least, marketed as "An amazing deck for veteran players", Sky Machine Corps break a lot of traditional rules for Hero World and has a unique play style that I can only describe as..."Complicated". They revolve around item manipulation and moving your items around over and over. First starting from the hand, into the soul through their card effects, then into the gauge through the use of the [Purge] ability, then used as costs for cards so they go into the drop zone, back into the hand or into the soul of another card through other means. It's very odd to say the least how much work you have to do to recycle most of monsters and items. The Items generate resources and power inside your monsters, which if not needed, are purged to allow new ones in, you cannot stack items "Galeforce Sky Type-0" Fubuki Mayuzumi (that's the name? Why are even the names more complicated then they need to be?!) Which whenever you put a card into her soul, she gains a life, and since you cycle cards out, she is an "Excellent" ride to go into! A lot of the monsters are just teenage girls, maybe 14 to 18 to the Duo of size 3`s who look about...20-25ish college girls in like flight suit armor, and it seems in sort of imaginary land, they hold the items in their hands and keep swapping them out. So if you like anime women, and like over complicated messes of a deck...then boy howdy!! Pick this deck! All decks shown in this blog are available in S Ultimate Booster 1: Superhero Wars Ω -Advent of Cosmoman!- available on September 7th!
into their souls easily. The first two can be put into the soul through the new keyword {{Weapon Link}}, and after putting two in, Weapon Link...de-activates. It just shuts off after putting a second soul in, so if you want to stack more cards in, you better find another way.  It's...It's apparently very good. I usually do not like putting personal bias into the blog when writing but I just...I went into this with such high expectations since I thought it perfectly matched a play style I built for Buddyfight. I mean...it kinda did.....kinda stole it and...made it more complicated that it needs to be. Its an engine on wheels to generate power plays and resources through the cycle of soul to gauge to drop to hand to soul. Over and Over and Over and Over. So because I physically cannot bring myself to write anymore on how they play, let's just talk about aesthetic which...is basically either your wet dream, or an unintentional insult to every veteran buddyfighter ever. They are all females. Seemingly from the SP Art you see here of their "Boss Monster"

Battle Building
Battle Building is the third new attribute for the Hero Booster, however this time, this is a Sub-Attribute. Since this is the first time I say this term, it is basically an attribute that goes after a main attribute for a deck. For example, <<Knights>> are a sub-attribute of <<Adventurers>>, it goes something like that. This makes it so Sub-Attribute decks can use older support as well as new cards made for them no problem. Now back on topic, Battle Buildings are all about massive robots that appear out of [Set] Spells designed to look like buildings. You can put down as many Set's as you can as they generate most of your resources, then at the beginning of your turn, each one has their own ability. They can either draw, gauge ramp, life ramp, deploy card destruction, and drop zone recover. The spells are really nice to have since they can stack and not a lot of decks carry [Set] Spell destruction. Their second abilities allow you to call a specific Battle Building from either your drop zone or hand, at {{Counter}} speed without paying their call cost, but you lose that spell as it goes into the monsters soul. The machines themselves though, are powerful machines, each bringing their own pain to the table. From an unstoppable 4 critical attack, to damage reduction, and tons of field disruption. That's not even getting into their two main cards. Ion Nanana`s own buddy Martian UFO Super-Transformation, Takokichi Omega which sets up for basically free, mills the top 3 of your deck and lets you get a spell and a Size 3 monster from among those into hand. This isn't even Set Spell locked so you can pick up the Battle Builder searcher or shield. So Takokichi has a ton of utility to the deck, and for once HAS A DECK unlike his dad. He combos with the all powerful, all mighty, YUGO GATTAI! AI-BOOORRGU!!! Aiborg reduces the size of ALL Battle Buildings on your field by 3, so Have fun destroying your opponent`s face in with multiple size 3`s on your field the size of skyscrapers. Speaking of Skyscrapers, They hold the aesthetic of very "Super Robot" machines, not as sleek as the Transformer aesthetic like Ride-Changers from the OG Era, but in a similar vein, either with extravagant designs or over the top accessories to their designs, like a Shoulder guard made out of a building. If you have the beating heart of a Super Robot Fan, and are also a fan of good Architecture, then suit-up for Battle Buildings! All decks shown in this blog are available in S Ultimate Booster 1: Superhero Wars Ω -Advent of Cosmoman!- available on September 7th!

Finale
That was a lot of decks to go through at once...my god, but it has been such a fun experience and I feel I should honestly do it more. Maybe if a trio of new decks come out, I can make a blog, just need a bunch to talk about. So I hope you all enjoy this long series, and honestly I apologize for taking longer on this one, the weekend I usually use to finish these was taken by multiple phone errors and spending all my time doing phone diagnostic...never try to trick IOS devices...it does not go well. We just got the Lost World flag if you didn't notice from every Buddyfight player nearby collectively screaming edge all over the locals. I for one am enjoying never needing to run a metric ton of size 1`s ever again in my Astro deck, Go Me. I wonder what my next blog would even be, even I have no idea`s. Heck, I am writing the finale here before I write the Sky Machine Corp description because I am having so much darn trouble with it! So I hope future me actually writes it. Thank you all for reading, have a fan-TAS-tic night and remember...talk to your friends, otherwise, you may end up LOSTTTTTTT!!!!

That isn't a hint to the next episode, I just wanted to make a Lost World reference.

Okay I am just writing this the day before I upload it, but I gotta ask. HOW DO YOU [RIDE] a SKY MACHINE CORP?! They are supposed to be human like females in armor. H-How?! Do you transform into the girl? Do you take over the girls mind? Do you sex-change into the character? Do you legitimately make her ride you?....My god that came out horribly wrong, BUT YOU KNOW MY ISSUE THEN!!! HOW DO YOU RIDE A FEMALE?!

Even more of a PS...Just finished YS VIII and got the True Ending....it's bad. Great Game, bad ending.

THE NEW ATTRIBUTES OF ACE!!!!! Part 2: Miracle Fighters ~Miko & Mel & Dan?!~

Welcome everyone to part 2 of this 3 part series looking at every starting attribute that we know of for Buddyfight Ace. Last time we looked at the first four attributes from Gargantua Awakened, and this week we are focusing on the two attributes from the Miko and Mel Ultimate Booster. Miko`s <<Electrodeity>> and Mel`s <<Folktale>>. Also because I have no where else to put it, we are also going to focus on the OUT OF NOWHERE new attribute from Dragon World, Dragon Blood Division, used by the series only antagonist...for now, Dan Yamada. Why also add Dan`s deck in while it only has two cards revealed? Because someone`s gonna enjoy it, plus this is the best place to put it instead of the Hero Booster. If you are a brand new player and did not get a single word I just said, do not worry as everything will make sense soon. So I welcome you to Part 2 of the series! Welcome to the Trio of Miracle Fighters!!

Folktale
Waifu monster #1
Folktale is the first attribute fully revealed for the Miko and Mel booster. Used by Buddyfights new archetypal "Has Food For Hair" Character, Mel Yumegatari. Folktale is based a lot on Fantasy and fairy tales, with the main buddy being Red Riding Hood, with other characters like Sleeping Beauty, the Big Bad Wolf, the hunter from some fairy tale, and more! They have a focus on calling multiple size 1`s to the field, but when they are destroyed, you can put them inside the pages of the Attributes most useful tool, the story itself Illusions Folktale, Echt Biblio, which stores all destroyed Folktale into its soul. Then on your turn, after you do a similar rush from hand, you can call monsters from soul through Counter Timing to gain ever more attacks. This also applies to your opponents turn when calling a monster to get popped which causes your opponent to maybe lose a monster or [>] a Gargantua before it can attack. Their big hitter though is a 7 crit Size 3 that can be counter called just like the other cards, but instead from the hand for massive damage. It is shaping up to be a fun attribute full of adventure and bliss. So if you find yourself always in a Fairy Tale world, then Folktale is the deck for you. This does not have a Start deck associated with it, so you can get all the cards by buying the Second S Ultimate Booster: Miracle Fighters ~Miko & Mel~ on September 14th.

Electrodeity
Waifu monster #2
The second deck in the Miko and Mel booster to be revealed in full from the show is the interesting new <<Electrodeity>>. Their play style is honestly the first thing I should talk about since it is what explains the whole deck. It is basically Hero World, but in Katana through the power of Spirit Medium. The main item in question being Kagura Bell of Worship, which allows you basically convert the big Size 3 <<Electrodeities>> in your hand, into Items to use in battle, known as "Buddy Possession". Based on various Shinto beliefs, a "Miko" (Get it?) has the power to conjure their body as a Spirit Medium to hold Spirits, which is what this deck strives to do. At the beginning of each turn, you Equip a Size 3 Electrodeity from your hand onto your item, sort of like Transform. Then your normal monsters do the damage along with you. It is actually really cool once they finally showed off the deck and it really brings up the "Spirit Medium" idea through the game in a nice way. The Spirits themselves however, also bring us to their aesthetic, with various Kimono and Robes of their lower power monsters, while the Deities themselves have very extravagant designs, befitting the Deity they are from actual history like the Sun Goddess Amaterasu, Her brother Susanoo, and possibly we may see Izanagi and Tsukuyomi as well. It is a fun deck for anyone interested in Japanese mythology and lore, as it perfectly portrays the idea of the Spirit Medium. So if you are of the Shinto Religion, appreciate the Japanese culture, or are those people who basically call this deck "OH ITS OTT!! ITS OTT!" Then Electrodeity, will shock you a bit! This does not have a Start deck associated with it, so you can get all the cards by buying the Second S Ultimate Booster: Miracle Fighters ~Miko & Mel~ on September 14th.

Dragon Blood Division
This might not even be the Buddy,
this is the only RRR Dragon we have
So because Corocoro decided to show it`s Dragon Fetish instead of the actual upcoming sets, we got a glimpse of a brand new attribute for the S Character Pack, which actually makes it worth it and not a pile of garbage, the Dragon Blood Division (Name Pending). The Dragon Blood Division will be used by Dan Yamada in the anime, and is more of an antagonistic deck, while all that we have seen now have been used by the good guys. Dragon Blood Divisions main trick is being tanks. They are basically the old Duel Dragon deck from the beginning of Buddyfight, brought up in a new way and given a bit of a power-up. Both cards revealed as of now, at the start of your opponent`s attack phase, can choose a monster, Nullify it`s abilities, and make it attack your monster first. The monster then is supposed to be destroyed by [CounterAttack] which procs the monsters second ability that when you destroy a monster on their field through a card effect, you get bonuses off of it. It`s basically a taunting deck that forces your opponent to either use effect destruction, or something else entirely in order to beat the enemy. Speaking of enemies, their designs are monstrous, focusing on combining dark, evil dragons with monster aesthetics, like Bloody Eyes here clearly having a Dracula vibe. Not much more is revealed about the deck, not even if it is a closed or open center deck. It is a nice concept and with the support coming, will turn out to be a good deck supported...on and off...for a long time in the Ace Era, much like their identity counterparts, the Dragon Knights, held in the OG Era. So if you like to hold your opponent down and make them hit themselves, Then come on down the Dragon Blood Division!

Onto Hero World
The final part will begin soon! Hero World has finally been starting to get their reveals, and now at the time of writing, we can play Sky Machine Corp and Galaxy Defense Force. Battle Buildings still need to be revealed more, but they are <<Brave Machine>>`s so they will be easier to explain since theirs already so much support. I honestly was excited for the Hero World reveals, but playing them has been pretty weird. I am excited though to speak about them, and I hope you guys enjoy the final episode of this mini-series. Thank you everyone and enjoy your weekend! Now if I plan this right, this should come out on Sunday, and I will be at the Vanguard Sneak Preview...I like Megacolony.

THE NEW ATTRIBUTES OF ACE!!!!! Part 1: Gargantua Awakened...23 years late.

Welcome to the brand new segment on "How to make your Buddyfight Deck Relevant" Where instead of all the old archetypes that were made out of the Bushiroads uncontrollable need to find something to make that is not a Dragon. Today we will be switching from what this blog will be dubbing the OG ERA, to check out what is happening on the other side of the timeline in the ACE ERA! We need to look to the future as, for this moment, it does not seem Bushiroad will be doing support for the older decks down the line for a bit, more focusing on getting a ton of decks for people to join in now then for people to have to go find old stuff. So for people who might not want have the best jumping point to the incoming changes or are a new player looking to join buddyfight at this new landmark, well I am here to look at them with you and to see what deck appeals to you or if you find a deck to main for the new era, as everyone has to find something new to replace your TEF/Chaos Deck. Don't lie to me, you have a TEF deck or a Chaos deck somewhere in your collection, everyone did. So, let`s not waste anytime guys! Let`s GOOOOO!

ENTERS ACE ERA

IS PUNCHED TO DEATH BY GODPUNK

Well....that was extremely painful. Everything is seen to be either hyper-aggressive or a little more slower but still able to deal a ton of damage. Even with new reveals coming in from the Ace Ultimate Boosters and Corocoro showing a focus on aggression and damage rather then more burn or lock down. Yes, Linkdragon Order is not lock down despite all the times you see your opponent using them. In fact, we actually have results from Japanese tournaments regarding the impact (get it) of Gargantua Awakened to the Meta game.
    Jerry show the clipboard.

So yeah....Godpunks took 1st place in Japanese Tournaments 30%, with Astrodragons only talking 20%. Linkdragons and old man Chaos are also 20% and Sun Dragons, TE, and DDT, THE EPITOMY OF MIKADO.DEK only makes 18%. Also Other could be that Ein infinite loop people found (Which I hear is so boring to fight against), so yeah, this is insane. Its also to note that Japan Tourneys are best of 1, so it makes sense to see Astros and Godpunks so damn high. You play Astro`s like you are fishing in Chaos and you can make a winning board on turn 2 and Godpunks make me cry because they are so damn strong, possibly only beatable by Astros because they can rush so much that if you can get the second turn and a good hand, GGGodpunk. This is the changes done with only 4 attributes to the game, it has helped move some old garbage out of the limelight...what replaced it maybe isn't good but hey, what can you do. So I wanted to talk about the newest attributes here, and what I think about them and help raise interest for people still on the fence for the game. So today I present

THE OFFICIAL GUIDE TO NEW ACE ATTRIBUTES! (NOT ACTUALLY OFFICIAL EDITION)

So we are going to split this into three parts. The first part will hold the first 4 attributes from Gargantua Awakened because that is only a month away. The second one will be based on S-UB02, the Miko and Mel Booster, and then adding in Creepy Dan to the mix because Bushi HAD to reveal his deck instead of showing the Ultimate Boosters in Corocoro. So let`s start with the first 4 decks.

oh wait...forgot something.

WE`RE NOT COVERING YOU!

NOW ON TO THE SHOW!

----
Deity Dragon Tribe

So this guy just appears after 23 years,
and now when Gao or Tasuku kept using
his sword?
Deity Dragon Tribe (or DDT) is the new "Gao" style attribute for Buddyfight Ace. Used by the son of the original Buddyfight Protagonist, Yuga Mikado. The aesthetic of DDT is a lot like classic Armordragons, but added in more regalia with jewels and fancier armor designs. Unlike Armordragons which had a basic overall beat down with a flexible amount of usage in its early days, Deity Dragon Tribe focuses highly on Gargantua Dragon, from the items even being locked primarily towards him, so Gargantua Dragon will be your main deck for the longest time. It is interesting however that Gargantua Dragon is not the usual Dragon World card, but is affiliated with no world. His deck for now is just Dragon World due to the support, but it is highly likely in the future that their could be Gargantua in various new Attributes in different worlds, or just Deity Dragon Tribe being a multiple world attribute like Thunder Empire, but without the flag to use it all at once. The playstyle however is also straightforward. Gargantua Dragon where you usually put Buddies, your choice of Garblade or Garchris, Lanze Gardragon and the upgraded Gargantua Punisher. THAT'S ALL YOU NEED....if that were true. Gargantua Dragon also has the iconic ability of <G-EVO> that whenever he finishes attacking, he can evolve into another Gargantua Dragon (Either a new base form or a mode) from your hand without paying the [Call Cost] of the upgraded mode. You swing with your 8 crit Blast Mode AND THEN hit them with the punisher to win. Simple game-play wise and it fits well with all over Dragon World Mikado style decks. If you need to choose the Main Characters deck, or you find the aesthetic charming, over find the mode gimmick a nice addition to the usual Dragon World snoozefest, check out DDT! You can get them by buying the first S Start Deck: Dradeity coming out (Supposedly) July 27th and upgrading with the first S Booster: Gargantua Awakened on August 31st!

Astrodragon

No, he is not the son of Tasuku, stop asking.

Astrodragons is the second new attribute introduced for Buddyfight Ace. Used by the first rival to Yuga (second if you counted Ranma), Subaru Hoshiyomi. Astrodragons, unlike Prism Dragons on release are not complete annoyance, but an actually fun, and fast Aggro deck based on keeping formation and maintaining a complete aggressive chain of attacks. Remember when TE can do 20 damage in a single turn...that's this deck`s bread and butter. The main unit this time is Skyseer Dragon, Cross Astrologia, who in similar vain to Gargantua Dragon`s <G-Evo> has his own ability. +Galaxy F> is activated when any form of Cross is in the center, you have an Astrodragon on your left, and you are equipped with an Astrodragon Item. This forms a Triangle on the field and Cross will then buff your entire field. Even your pathetic, horrible, disgraceful, shameful, pitiful right circle. Their disgusting in power, but beautiful in aesthetic, Trading Prism Dragons crystal designs and more color based typing to a more armored look, with predominantly various shades or purple and blue, making Cross pop in the center in bright yellow with rainbow wings. The Prism Dragons are more "Natural" while the Astrodragons are more..."Artificial". Not like the Chaos where its cyborgs, but more like how Armordragons are made, but instead of a predominant red, its a predominant blue. If your looking to deal more damage and use tactics like the Ace of Study (....why not just the Ace of Knowledge), then try out Astrodragons!  You can get them by buying the second S Start Deck: Triangulum Galaxy coming out (Supposedly) July 27th and upgrading with the first S Booster: Gargantua Awakened on August 31st!

Linkdragon Order
Baku, reincarnated as a Jock.
The third attribute for the new series is for Ancient World, the brand new LINKDRAGON ORDER! Used by the "Ace of Sports" Masato, Linkdragon Order goes for a different approach from the usual Ancient World play style of "BIG SIZE 3! ALL DA TIME!". Instead of having 1 Size 3, they thought "what if...we have 3...size 1`s?!" This apparently blew the new R&D Directors mind, as he then went on to make Linkdragon Order as insane as it can be. BUT! Then he thought "What if...after they use the 3 Size 1`s...what if they could make 1 Massive Size 3!". Linkdragon Order, in a nutshell, is using Multiple size 1`s in the early game to set up pressure and ending with making a massive size 3 that will wall and keep up the pressure mid to late game. Their main mechanic is also the most complex of the Ace Trio. (D Share) is their ability, which allows all Linkdragon cards to share their abilities with other monsters with (D Share). So if one Linkdragon size 1 has the ability to pop a monster when it attacks, you choose a different monster, it pops something also. This also applies to your item so you would have a full field of monsters that can pop, heal, attack again, gain gauge, its all here. Each one has an effect that is decent, but that their on your entire field, it makes it all so much better. Once you hit that mid-game, you pull out the big bad of the deck, Spiral Thunderaxe, King Agito, who has the special (Spiral D Share) which instead of getting the abilities of all the cards on the field, gets all the abilities of cards in its soul. I remember DAY 1 when Ace got revealed and they teased a few cards. 5 Cards...and in a Testing Mirror Match, they were able to reach 100 life. I am not joking...
Do we have the footage of that? No? We don't...darn it.
I sadly have to ask you guys to believe me when I said it could happen, and if you have a long match, it will happen. So all in all, Linkdragons are the most technical deck in the Ace trio and that's a good thing. One other cool thing about Linkdragon Order is the aesthetic, which instead of colossal dragons from the other attributes, focuses primarily on tinier dragons, small bi and quad pedal beings who have different, and distinct looks to each one. You see the green one and instantly know Jisen, you see the yellow one, you see Harahara. Each monster is distinct and each contribute to the overall deck as a whole when together or inside King Agito. If you are into a heavy deck, full of wacky possibilities and a ton of customization, I recommend to you the dangerous world of Linkdragon Order. You can get them by buying the third S Start Deck: Spiral Linkdragon Order coming out (Supposedly) July 27th and upgrading with the first S Booster: Gargantua Awakened on August 31st!

Godpunk
No SP foil for you, all you get is
a BCS Promo.

Godpunk is the attribute that was revealed last out of the Gargantua Awakened set. A Danger World attribute based on entirely being a ruthless, heartless thief, Godpunks focus on actually disruption by using your opponents resources for their own [Call Cost]s. They have cards that use your opponents gauge, card`s that require your opponent discards, and even the Buddy Monster, Topfist Vainglory, Brawlzeus lets them basically take any card on your opponents field and put it into the drop zone. As stated in the beginning of this retrospective, this is the most powerful deck in Japan right now, because it can just waste away at your opponents resources and it does a damn good job doing it. Must be why their aesthetic matches the whole "Gangster" feel, with ripped clothes, biker jackets for items, a very big influence on punk attire and the idea of the "Japanese delinquent" that is seen in many animes in Japan. This deck does not have a special Ability box unlike the other three released, but they still have the overall ability of "Plunder". When they attack and destroy an opponents monster, or deals damage to the opponent, they gain a resource for you, in a way of stealing it from the opponent. They also have great gauge acceleration for their skills as they just beat the futility of facing them into your skull. Fighting them is like actually facing real life bullies. It may seem hard, it may seem frustrating, but in the end, you go tell a parent. So for you guys who love bullying your opponent into submission, making them feel hopelessness and overall making the game less fun to play (What...It's true), Godpunk is the deck for you. This does not have a Start deck associated with it, so you can get all the cards by buying the first S Booster: Gargantua Awakened on August 31st!

Moving on to part 2

Thank you very much for reading all of this through! This was something different I wanted to write up since the Ace Era is going to be a brand new start to Buddyfight for a bunch of new people, so I wanted to do my part and help people look at a deck and find interest in the game or just bring back lost interest once the X season destroyed a lot peoples faith in the game. It certainly did mine, but I really like the new status quo and if Bushiroad keeps the balance as it is now, then we will likely have a healthy year for Casual Buddyfight, so I thank you again for checking out this episode. This is part 1 of a 3 part series. In the next episode, I will be focusing on the next two attributes to have enough support to be able to talk about them, as well as a tiny little review of the most recent revealed attribute for the game. It wont be as in depth as this one, since the attributes are not fully out, but enough to give the general idea and check them out. I`m signing out, thank you for reading and please have an excellent day.
